The Scottish Government's digital transformation of the Scottish Planning and Building Standards System is currently in year two of a five-year delivery programme. One of the programme's priorities is to develop a shared data resource for planning and place data, built upon a cloud hosted platform.
We are aiming to define and implement a data ecosystem approach with defined data standards, data governance and operating model. This will assist in embedding a data-driven approach to policy development.
Following a successful procurement exercise, Deloitte UK have been awarded the service provider contract to develop the Data Strategy for the programme in collaboration with the Digital Transformation team and key stakeholders
It is anticipated this work will complete by April 2023, and will form the foundations to unlocking access to planning and building standards data.
