Data insights

The data insights relate to the Consultation draft action areas.

North and West coastal innovation

The North West Coast and Islands action area includes (in broad terms):

  • Shetland
  • Orkney
  • Na h-Eileanan Siar (Western Isles)
  • Coastal areas of Argyll & Bute and Highland

Northern revitalisation

The North mainland action area includes (in broad terms):

  • Highland
  • Argyll & Bute
  • Moray

North East transition

The North East action area includes (in broad terms):

  • Aberdeen City
  • Aberdeenshire
  • Moray

Parts of the east coast, for example on the Firths of Tay and Forth, could also be considered part of this area.

Central urban transformation

The Central action area includes (in broad terms):

  • Glasgow city region
  • Edinburgh city region
  • The Ayrshire Authorities
  • Forth Valley
  • Tayside
  • Loch Lomond and the Trossachs National Park 

Southern sustainability

The Southern action area includes (in broad terms):

  • The Scottish Borders 
  • Dumfries and Galloway

NPF4 Data Atlas

The NPF4 Data Atlas provides access to a wide variety of data and evidence on topics related to NPF4.

This data is grouped into the following themes:

  • People
  • Economy
  • Energy
  • Environment
  • Built Environment
  • Travel

 

The Data Atlas is available for anyone to use, but only limited support is provided on interpretation and use of the data.
